PIM implementation: change a product once and it is right everywhere.
When product details live in the shop, the ERP, a supplier spreadsheet and a marketplace listing, they drift apart. Customers see the wrong size chart, trade buyers get last year’s price, and someone spends Monday fixing listings. A PIM puts every product’s information in one place and feeds the rest from it.
Signs your product data is costing you
Launching a new range takes weeks because each channel needs its own copy. Returns mention wrong descriptions or sizes. Prices differ between your shop and your marketplaces. Nobody is sure which spreadsheet is current.
Those costs are spread across the team, so they rarely show up on one line of the accounts. They show up as slow launches, returns and lost sales.
What a PIM holds, and what it feeds
Descriptions, specifications, variants, sizes, colours, prices, images and documents for every product, with a record of who changed what. From there it feeds your online shop, marketplaces, trade customers’ catalogues and printed material.
We choose the PIM to fit your range and budget, connect it to your ERP and shop, and move your existing data in. AI can then write first drafts of descriptions for a person to approve.
| Catalogue | Detail | Client |
|---|---|---|
| More than 23,000 products and variations | Garment colour groups, size rules, quantity price tiers, and VAT shown differently for trade and public customers | The Embroidery Shed |
| More than 2,500 products in nearly 200 categories | Two shops fed from one till system, where one fault can show the wrong results or report zero sales | Mitchell's Vintners |

Catalogues we have worked inside
We have rebuilt and repaired shops with large, awkward catalogues, so we know where product data breaks.
The Embroidery Shed
Search now understands what people mean: “something warm for the lads outside” finds fleeces. That only works when product data is clean and consistent.
Mitchell's Vintners
We diagnosed why shop filters showed stale results and set out a specific plan to speed up pages without breaking filters and search.
How a PIM implementation runs
- 1
Audit the data
Where each product detail lives today, which copy is right, and how much tidying it needs.
- 2
Choose and set up
A PIM sized to your range, with the fields and approvals your team needs. Fixed price.
- 3
Connect and move in
Existing data imported and cleaned, then linked to your shop, ERP and marketplaces.
Questions
- How many products do we need before a PIM is worth it?
- It depends on variants and channels more than product count. A few hundred products sold on four channels can justify one; a large range on one shop may not. We will tell you which you are.
- Which PIM do you recommend?
- Whichever fits your range, channels and budget. We are not a reseller, so we have no reason to push one.
- Can AI write our product descriptions?
- It can draft them from your specifications, in your house style, for a person to check. It works well once the underlying data is clean.
- Will it work with WooCommerce?
- Yes. We connect PIMs to WooCommerce and to ERPs, marketplaces and trade customers’ catalogues.
